Week6

(1)     We looked at each revised infographic and brochure. For infographic, I need to add one more page because infographic should have both pages back and forth. The title should be not all caps, some people typed all caps in all title. The map should be in English as well because people who read will be foreigners. I also need to add map for my brochure. In terms of my infographic, I need to add more information in numbers and graph rather than paragraphed sentences. For brochure, brochure is divided from infographic, thus the design and the contents should not be the same though the font should be the same because it might not be recognized as what the same person created. In the educational technology in Japan, I learned how Japan left behind, actually still now. (2)     Rab taught us how Japan left behind in educational technology sector. I quite agree with his opinion. When I was in high school, I wan not allowed to bring smartphone, but only laptop ...

Week5

We worked on feedback about each infographic and brochure. Infographic is basically contains 70~80% of visual context and images and 30% of sentences. However, entire students did not contain visual information in infographic. Some people are all caps and narrow space lining. About my infographic, friends told me no fixing points although I felt that  I need to add more visual information. In terms of brochure, I could not finish in time so I will work and finish by next week. My fixing point was adding more sentences. Also, when I create brochure, all elements need to be the same font, colors, style because it looks more nice and better to attract people.      My reaction for today's class was that visual marketing has various ways to attract people. Before using Canva, I was quite not sure how companies create such a great visual advertisement. By using Canva, it makes me more confidence to work on visual communication through designing. Also, ...

Week4

We checked each bio. All of us stepped mostly perfect result though I need to improve my photo. Because my shoulder did not include all and too much blur background. However, I saw my development comparing to the first bio. As second task, we worked on creating infographic using Canva. I used it before, however I need to pay attention what I learned from this class. I could not pay attention small detail such as all caps, color blind and dyslexia people supporting. These are improvement till next week.      Rab explained us how we need to pay attention to dyslexia and color blind people. When I create presentation or designing, I did not care about color blind support. Since today, I learned how to realize the color combination which will be helpful for my future as well.

Week3

We checked each bio. I got some points which need to be fixed till next week. My fixing points were topic sentence. I need to mention my name, faculty, specific major or interests. These interests requires to connect to entire contents in bio. For example, I wrote " She likes to listening to K-pop.", however it does not connect to my interest at all. Thus I need to fix this points. Also, about photo though I replaced to new photo, I need to change another. The reason why is that the angle was like passport photo, my arms are connecting at the front. Till next week, I have to replace new photo which is a professional angle and posing like stronger.      My reaction for today's class is that I got a good influence by Amy Cuddy, especially "Fake it till you become it." Pretending to be like stronger and standing with confidence will bring me better result without logical effort. Her TED talk quite helps me further developing my presentation skill as well...
