Week14

 This week was a last day for LEIDE. And I was a presenter for today. I strived to do body language, clear voice and eye contact with audiences. After I finished my presentation, I got feedback from Rab.

1. complete photo credit because I forgot to add fully information.

2. voice intonation was not enough

3. sometimes I did hand tie when I feel anxious

4. Add reaction to audience because when I asked question to them, I forgot to react

Above were main improvements for my presentation. 

Also, I learned some points when I had time before presenting. For example, if my internet connection or tech problem occurs, I need to tell it audiences with specific minutes to take. And I need to continue communication with audience because the presentation already starts. Rab told us that it's important to have some unique sound when I feel like to say ummm or ammm.

Week5

      We worked on feedback about each infographic and brochure. Infographic is basically contains 70~80% of visual context and images and 30% of sentences. However, entire students did not contain visual information in infographic. Some people are all caps and narrow space lining. About my infographic, friends told me no fixing points although I felt that  I need to add more visual information. In terms of brochure, I could not finish in time so I will work and finish by next week. My fixing point was adding more sentences. Also, when I create brochure, all elements need to be the same font, colors, style because it looks more nice and better to attract people.      My reaction for today's class was that visual marketing has various ways to attract people. Week4

      We checked each bio. All of us stepped mostly perfect result though I need to improve my photo. Because my shoulder did not include all and too much blur background. However, I saw my development comparing to the first bio. As second task, we worked on creating infographic using Canva. I used it before, however I need to pay attention what I learned from this class. I could not pay attention small detail such as all caps, color blind and dyslexia people supporting. These are improvement till next week.      Rab explained us how we need to pay attention to dyslexia and color blind people. When I create presentation or designing, I did not care about color blind support. Since today, I learned how to realize the color combination which will be helpful for my future as well.

Week11

 (1) We learned why professor in specialized in presentation skills doesn't teach deepen skills for students. In order to become a professor, in Japan they need something 2 reports, book or publication. That means they are not measured by how they are good at teaching, but how they experience and have knowledge to teach students. When it comes to meeting, Rab taught us 3 roles. First is a facilitator. Facilitator is a person who leads all participants, provide them equal opportunity to speak up, also interrupt noisy people in order to have enough idea. Second is a note taker. Since technology advanced, we can share a doc and write on it by anyone. However, note taker is important role because we can make sure what we discussed and reflect for that. Third is time keeper. Time keeper is a person who manage time properly. That means he or she need to know when they should review for their discussion, the number of idea and summary of the meeting.
